Shanice R. Guthrie '27 is the Student Director of the Lowenstein International Human Rights Clinic. At the Clinic, she has co-authored reports on climate litigation, disability rights, and armed conflict. Before law school, Shanice taught English in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, earning national recognition for her students' progress, and in the US, served with the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, the Maryland Department of Labor and as a Student Trustee in Palm Beach Florida. She holds a B.A. from Johns Hopkins University and is fluent in Japanese and Jamaican Patois.
