Alana Frederick headshot

Alana Frederick is a visiting lecturer in law at Yale Law School. Frederick has also been a career law clerk and chief of staff to Judge Kevin Newsom on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit since 2017. She teaches regularly at law schools, including Stanford Law School, University of Chicago Law School, and Harvard Law School. Her work has been published in the Harvard Law Review and the Yale Law Journal (forthcoming 2026). She previously clerked on the Supreme Court of Alabama.

Fredrick earned a B.A. and J.D. from the University of Alabama.
