Angela Carol Robinson is a Joseph Goldstein Visiting Lecturer in Law at Yale Law School and the Waring and Carmen Partridge Faculty Fellow and a visiting associate professor of law at Quinnipiac University School of Law. She served for 20 years as a judge for the Connecticut Superior Court for the Judicial District of New Haven, presiding over civil, criminal, and other trials and pretrials. Since her retirement from the bench she has been a partner and of counsel at two multi-state firms, with practices focusing on civil litigation and alternative dispute resolution, with an emphasis on mediation.
Robinson is also an active member of the New Haven community and frequent contributor to the discourse about community legal history and the intersection of access and justice. Robinson is the co-founder and organizer of L.A.W. (Love to Learn — Apply Yourself — Work for Justice) Camp for Teens, an award-winning experiential learning summer camp for teens in the greater New Haven and Connecticut area interested in learning more about the law. Her academic areas of interest include evidence, legal ethics, and alternative dispute resolution. Robinson earned a B.A. from Rutgers University and a J.D. from Yale Law School.
