Deirdre Stanley is a visiting lecturer in law at Yale Law School. Stanley is a former public company chief legal officer, with more than 20 years of C-suite experience in global organizations spanning the information technology, media, and beauty sectors. From 2019 to 2024, she was EVP and general counsel of The Estée Lauder companies. Prior, she was EVP and general counsel of Thomson Reuters and SVP and general counsel of The Thomson Corporation. Stanley is a board member of PayPal Holdings, Inc. and Consolidated Edison, Inc.
Stanley earned an A.B. from Duke University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School, where she was a member of the Law Review.
