Justin Cole is a visiting clinical lecturer in law at Yale Law School. He clerked for Judge Diane Sykes on the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals in Illinois and Judge Thomas Hardiman on the 3rd Circuit in Pennsylvania. In the summers of 2021 and 2022, he served as a legal intern in the Office of the General Counsel and the Office of the Chief Prosecutor of Military Commissions at the U.S. Department of Defense, and a legal intern at the Civil Appellate Division and the Civil Fraud Section at the U.S. Department of Justice. While at the Law School, Cole served as an articles editor for the Yale Journal of Health Policy, Law, and Ethics and as an editor-in-chief of the Yale Journal of International Law. He also served as co-director of the Green Haven Prison Project, a biweekly reading group with members from the Program for a Calculated Transition (PACT), an organization in a maximum-security prison in New York State. Cole earned a B.A. from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a J.D. from Yale Law School.
