Margit Cohn is a visiting lecturer in law at Yale Law School and the Henry J. and Fannie Harkavy Chair in Comparative Law at Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Cohn’s research interests lie in comparative public law, spanning the study of the executive branch, judicial review, the separation of powers, and constitutionalism. Cohn is also the author of “A Theory of the Executive Branch: Tension and Legality” (Oxford University Press, 2021) and of a book on energy law in Israel. Additionally, she has published articles, papers, and book chapters in renowned publications such as the Cambridge Handbook of Comparative Law, the American Journal of Comparative Law, the Oxford Journal of Legal Studies, and Law and Policy. Cohn earned an LL.B., LL.M., and LL.D. from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and spent a post doctorate period at the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies at the University of Oxford.
