Matt Christiansen is a Visiting Lecturer in Law at Yale Law School. He is currently the General Counsel of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). He previously served as an Attorney-Advisor in FERC’s Office of the General Counsel and as a Legal Advisor in the Office of then-FERC Commissioner Richard Glick. He clerked for the Honorable Jesse M. Furman of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and the Honorable Stephen F. Williams of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. Christiansen’s scholarship has been published in the Harvard Law Review, the Texas Law Review, and the Energy Law Journal. Christiansen holds a J.D. from Yale Law School and a B.A. from Columbia University.
