Murat Aybars Tunca is a Ph.D. candidate in Private Law at Bilkent University, where he serves as a research assistant. His doctoral research, titled "AI’s Impact on Employment Relations: Evidence-Influenced Regulations for Balancing Innovation and Rights," examines the intersection of artificial intelligence and employment law, investigating how to safeguard employee rights in AI-integrated workplaces without stifling technological innovation.
He is a recipient of a Fulbright Ph.D. Dissertation Research Grant for the 2025-2026 academic year to support his research at NYU Law. His studies have also been supported by a full scholarship at Bilkent, the Sabanci Foundation Success Scholarship, and the Scientific and Technological Research Institution of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK) National Ph.D. Scholarship. Previously, he worked as a legal researcher for Holistic AI, a London-based AI consultancy, where he analyzed global AI regulations.
Murat Aybars holds an LL.M. from Bilkent University and an LL.B. from Hacettepe University. His publications include articles in peer-reviewed journals and a book. He is a member of the Ankara Bar Association.
