Skylar Fetter is an Akwesasne Kanien'kehá:ka/Mohawk researcher and a second year PhD student at the Yale School of the Environment. Her Master's thesis, Disturbances: Cultural Stratification and Contamination on the Grasse River, explored the corporate environmental contamination of Akwesasne rivers through an interdisciplinary lens of policy, narrative, and law. She is currently studying the interconnections of surveillance in the borderlands and environmental threats to Indigenous lands.
