Wang Wei is vice dean and professor at the School of Foreign-Related Rule of Law, China University of Political Science and Law. Her research focuses on constitutional law, comparative constitutional law, and health law. Wang earned her doctor of law degree from Aix-Marseille University in France. She has authored monographs on constitutional review and the constitutional system of the French Fifth Republic, and has published numerous articles in leading Chinese and French legal journals. Her scholarly work spans foundational theoretical research — such as constitutional methodology, constitutional amendment, and the allocation of state-societal powers — as well as emerging issues including digital constitutionalism, euthanasia, and transhumanism. Since 2014, she has organized a series of Sino-French constitutional dialogues to foster academic exchange. At the Paul Tsai China Center, Wang will continue her research on constitutional culture, exploring the particularities and commonalities of constitutional cultures in China, France, the United States, and beyond in the era of globalization, as well as ways to promote dialogue and coordination between constitutional orders balance the international legal order.
