OCE for Faculty

Course Evaluations

  • The Law School View of the course evaluations is a more condensed version for quick viewing of all responses and comments on the same page. At the end of each course row in the search results list, there is a blue “Y” which links directly to the “Yale Student Viewer” for that course.
  • The Yale Student Viewer has the distribution of answers for each of the questions for the course.
  • The Faculty Dashboard is where a faculty member can find the most detailed course evaluation information. This view has the individual responses along with the distribution graphs for the course. Once you login to the dashboard, you can search and view your courses.

Courses must have a minimum five students enrolled to be evaluated.

Yale Law School students receive automated email reminders when course evaluations open, and several reminders until the evaluation window closes. Students may be blocked from viewing grades until they complete, or decline to complete, a course evaluation. Students may still order a transcript including all posted grades during this time.

Non-law students enrolled in law courses (courses with a subject code of LAW) may complete the course evaluation by visiting http://www.yale.edu/lawevaluate. Non-law students do not receive the automated email reminders; you may want to share the link with students in your course to encourage participation.
