Grades and paper certifications for graduating students are due May 26 by 5 p.m.. Grades for continuing students are due May 31.

Degrees will be voted by faculty on May 31, 2023.

Limited enrollment bidding and course selection for fall 2023 courses will open June 15 and close June 29.

Examinations

Law School examinations are given during a period (normally two weeks) at the end of the term. The Registrar's Office administers all examinations.

To Request Transcripts

Official transcripts may be requested online or by writing to the Office of the Registrar, Yale Law School, P.O. Box 208215, New Haven, CT 06520-8215, or by faxing your request to (203) 432-7069. We do not accept requests by telephone.

You may use this transcript request form, or send in a written request. All requests must include your full name at the time of enrollment, date of birth, year of graduation, daytime phone number, the address where you would like the transcript(s) mailed, your signature, and whether each transcript should be individually sealed in its own envelope.

No more than 10 official copies may be ordered at one time. There is usually a 24- to 48-hour turnaround time. There is no per-transcript fee. If expedited delivery service is requested, there will be a charge for each address to which a transcript must be sent.

Electronic (PDF) transcripts for students who attended Yale Law School prior to 1996 may take an additional 24- to 48-hour processing time.

To Verify Enrollment and Degree Verifications

Letters verifying enrollment in Yale Law School, and the date degrees were awarded, may be obtained by completing a request form from the Registrar’s Office. The completed form may be emailed to registrar.law@yale.edu, faxed to (203) 432-7069, or mailed to the Office of the Registrar, Yale Law School, P.O. Box 208215, New Haven, CT 06520-8215.
