Aleeta AbuSafia

Aleeta AbuSafia comes to Yale from Cleveland, Ohio, where she worked with the Reproductive Rights Law Initiative at Case Western Reserve University School of Law, working to challenge state restrictions on abortion access. AbuSafia’s interest in health and human rights law took root earlier, while handling Medicaid claims at a Cleveland-based personal injury law firm and observing how unequal access to healthcare can compound over the course of a case. AbuSafia graduated summa cum laude from John Carroll University in 2024 with a B.A. in political science.
