Yale Law School is planning to hold an in-person commencement for students on May 24, 2021.

The Law School will also welcome back students who have been studying remotely this year and who wish to return to campus for the festivities under the guidance of University and public health protocols.

“I am very much looking forward to honoring and marking the achievements of the remarkable Class of 2021,” said Dean Heather Gerken in a message to the Law School community.

Although all in-person Yale University commencement ceremonies for 2021 will be limited to graduating students only, the Law School’s ceremony will be live-streamed on May 24 at noon so that families and friends can watch.

Beginning at 10 a.m. on May 24, Yale University will share President Peter Salovey’s address to students and official conferral of student and honorary degrees on the Yale 2021 website.

Additional information will continue to be posted on the Yale Law School 2021 Commencement website.

The Law School also recently announced that as long as public-health conditions permit, both the Class of 2020 and 2021 are invited to return to campus with their guests on the weekend of May 13, 2022 to celebrate with a weekend of activities including the University ceremony, a Law School diploma ceremony, and receptions for guests. In the coming months, the University and Law School will provide further updates and information as it becomes available.
