Pottenger Jr. ’75 at the Center’s Civil Rights Award Dinner on May 29.

The Law and Society Association has given the J. Willard Hurst Award, for the year’s best work in English on socio-legal history, to Professor Nicholas R. Parrillo’ 04 for his book Against the Profit Motive: The Salary Revolution in American Government, 1780–1940 (Yale University Press, 2013).
Anika Singh Lemar to Join Yale Law School Faculty
Anika Singh Lemar is currently a Visiting Clinical Associate Professor of Law at Yale Law School. Previously, while in private practice in New Haven, she represented clients in land use matters, affordable housing development, and urban revitalization efforts.

Valerie Belair-Gagnon Named Executive Director of YLS Information Society Project
The Information Society Project (ISP) at Yale Law School has announced the appointment of Valerie Belair-Gagnon as its new executive director, effective June 1, 2014. Belair-Gagnon will assume her new responsibilities following the departure of Margot Kaminski ’10, who has served as executive director since 2011.
Admiral Gary Roughead, Former Chief Of Naval Operations, to Deliver Lecture on the Role of Navies in the 21st Century
Admiral Gary Roughead, a four-star admiral who recently retired as the United States' Chief of Naval Operations, will deliver a lecture entitled "Sea Power and National Security in the 21st Century: Why Navies Matter" at Yale Law School on Thursday, April 17. The lecture, which will take place from 4:10-5:30 p.m. in Room 128, is open to the public.
