Financial Literacy Workshop: Understanding Transactions - Part 1 (M&A)

This 3-hour session is part I of a 6-hour course that will provide an overview of Understanding Transactions commonly employed by Wall Street and other finance professionals and expose participants to terms and terminology to gain a better understanding of financial aspects of legal matters. 

This session will focus on: 

  • Merger Consequences Analysis (Strategic Buyers) 
  • Brief overview of purchase accounting Accretion / dilution pro forma analysis 
  • Key M&A transaction considerations (stock vs. cash, social issues, etc.)

This workshop will be taught by Alex Lue, former Merrill Lynch investment banker and Stanford Law School graduate, from Training the Street. Light breakfast and lunch will be provided.
