Juliet Schor is an economist and Professor of Sociology at Boston College, and author of "The Overworked American: the unexpected decline of leisure" (1992). Since 2022 she has been lead researcher for global trials of companies instituting four day workweeks. Schor is the recipient of numerous awards, including the 2024 SASE Honorary Fellow and the AAAS Fellowship. Her work has been supported by NSF, MacArthur, Sloan and Russell Sage, among others. Schor’s Ted talk on the four day week has more than three million views and her book, "Four Days a Week," is forthcoming from Harper Business in June 2025.
