Dr. Chenghao Sun is a fellow and head of the U.S.-Europe program at the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS), Tsinghua University, and council member of the Chinese Association of American Studies. His research interests include China-U.S. relations, transatlantic relations, AI and international security, and the overlap of technology and international relations. He teaches a graduate-level course on Transatlantic Relations in Tsinghua’s School of Social Sciences. Dr. Sun has co-authored dozens of reports and books. His latest books, Profound Changes Unseen in a Century and the U.S.-Europe Alliance, and The Gravity of Power in the White House: The National Security Council (1947-2019), were published in 2023 and 2020 respectively. His academic articles have been published in Contemporary Asia-Pacific Studies, The Chinese Journal of American Studies, China International Studies, and others. He is also a social media influencer in China on Weibo with around 1 million followers. At the Paul Tsai China Center, he will undertake a research project on artificial intelligence and China-U.S. relations, particularly exploring how the two countries can engage in more cooperation.
