Jacob Schriner-Briggs

Jacob Schriner-Briggs is a 2017 graduate of Youngstown State University and a 2021 graduate of Yale Law School. After receiving his J.D., Jacob practiced law in the Media & Entertainment Group of Ballard Spahr LLP and helped represent journalists reporting at the local, state, and national levels. Jacob is currently an Abrams Fellow at Yale Law School’s Information Society Project where, in close coordination with Floyd Abrams and Sandra Baron, he studies issues concerning press freedom and the Constitution’s Press Clause. Jacob is interested in First Amendment doctrine; the connection between speech and press rights and democratic theory; and the intersection of law, politics, and social epistemology.
