Joseph Avery

Joseph Avery, a Resident Fellow in the Information Society Project, is a legal academic who is conducting research at the intersection of law, technology, and the behavioral sciences. In addition to numerous law journal and peer-reviewed articles, he has co-edited two book volumes, including Bias in the Law: A Definitive Look at Racial Prejudice in the U.S. Criminal Justice System. He holds a Ph.D. and a M.A. from Princeton University, a J.D. from Columbia Law School, and a B.A. from New York University.
