Julie A. Murray is a Visiting Lecturer in Law at Yale Law School and a Senior Staff Attorney at the American Civil Liberties Union Foundation, where she co-launched the State Supreme Court Initiative. The Initiative is dedicated to expanding the ACLU’s participation in state high courts and developing stronger state constitutional protections.

She has worked as a public interest litigator for more than a decade, including at Planned Parenthood Federation of America and Public Citizen Litigation Group. She has argued before the U.S. Supreme Court, two state supreme courts, and numerous other appellate and trial courts around the country.
