Justyna P. Gudzowska is a Visiting Lecturer in Law at Yale Law School and an independent consultant who advises public and private sector entities on financial crime risks. An expert on international sanctions, anti-corruption, anti-money laundering, and terrorism financing, Gudzowska is a Senior Advisor to The Sentry, an investigative and policy organization where she was previously Director of Illicit Finance Policy. She is also an Associate Fellow at the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI), the U.K.’s leading defense and security think tank.  Previously, Gudzowska was an Executive Director of Global Financial Crimes (Legal) at Morgan Stanley. From 2013 to 2018, she served on an expert team that advised the United Nations Security Council on countering global terrorist groups. Earlier in her career, Gudzowska worked in the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of the General Counsel and practiced law at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP and Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP. In addition to her law degree, Gudzowska pursued graduate study in the U.K. as a Marshall Scholar. She is also an adjunct professor at Georgetown University's Walsh School of Foreign Service.
