Dr Osman Gazi Güçlütürk is an Assistant Professor of IT Law at Boğaziçi University, Faculty of Law. He holds an LL.B degree. from Galatasaray University, an LL.M. degree from London School of Economics and Political Science, an M.A. degree from Ankara University, and an MJur degree from the University of Oxford. He obtained his PhD on the lawful use of data in machine learning-based artificial intelligence in 2021. His PhD thesis was awarded the Best PhD Thesis of the Year Award in Türkiye by the Turkish Council of Higher Education. His main research field is technology law, regulation, and policy, specifically focusing on data governance and artificial intelligence. He is also a member of the UNIDROIT Steering Committee on Digital Assets and Private Law.
