Sean O'Brien is a Visiting Lecturer in Law at Yale Law School with expertise in cybersecurity, privacy, and mobile device forensics. He is the Asst. Director for Technology at Yale Office of International Students & Scholars and Ph.D. student in Law at the University of South Africa. He founded Yale Privacy Lab in 2017, an initiative of the Information Society Project at Yale Law School. He is an active member of MakeHaven, a local non-profit makerspace, where he implements FreedomBox GNU/Linux servers.
