Lawyer Robert Barnett to Give Lecture on October 25
Robert Barnett, a senior partner at Williams & Connolly in Washington, D.C., will deliver a dean’s lecture on October 25, 2016. His talk, which will be held in the Faculty Lounge at noon, is titled “A Life in the Law.” Barnett will discuss his unique career in the law and provide practical advice to those who are starting theirs.
Robert B. Barnett has represented presidents, prime ministers, and many of America's largest corporations. He represents America's leading television news anchors and producers and some of the most famous authors in the world. He has also been active in presidential campaigns—ten times since 1976. Barnett represents major corporations in litigation matters, corporate work, contracts, crisis management, transactions, government relations, and media relations. During his thirty years of practice, he has represented clients before almost every executive department and administrative agency in Washington. Barnett was ranked Number One on Washingtonian magazine's list of "Washington's Best Lawyers" and as one of "The 100 Most Influential Lawyers in America" by The National Law Journal. He was also named one of the one hundred most powerful people in the entertainment industry by Entertainment Weekly magazine.
