Yale Law School will host its inaugural Giving Day on Thursday, Oct. 24.

During a 24-hour period on Oct. 24, alumni can donate to important Yale Law School programs and causes while earning Giving Day Challenge funds that magnify the impact of their philanthropy. Giving Day gifts help the School increase student access, bolster scholarship funds, and support the critical work of the Law School’s faculty, centers, and clinics.

“We hope every Yale Law School graduate will make a gift to support us on Giving Day,” said Kristen B. Rozansky, Associate Dean of Alumni Engagement & Development at Yale Law School. “Every gift, at every amount, makes a difference.”

Yale Law School’s alumni have a deep history of giving back to support the School and the next generation of lawyers and leaders. Giving Day will further strengthen this tradition as graduates and friends of the School champion the causes and initiatives that are most meaningful to them and encourage friends, family, and classmates to join them.

Starting at midnight on Oct. 24 until midnight on Oct. 25, visit the Giving Day website. Alumni can select from many initiatives at the School including scholarship, clinics, centers, and student support. Donation challenges and matches will be a chance for individuals, classes, or committees to motivate more people to contribute to one large, cumulative gift. Participants are also encouraged to post about the event on social media using #YLSGivingDay to raise awareness and inspire others to support the School.
