Description

Join us in BAKER COURTYARD for DisOrientation!

YLS DISORIENTATION is a time-honored tradition organized by a collective of students from various student organizations and affinity groups. It is a chance for new students who are feeling:

Oppressed by, disconnected from, frustrated with, or ANY KIND OF FEELINGS about:

Law school orthodoxy, structures of power at YLS, the curriculum, or JUST THE STATUS QUO GENERALLY to:

Connect, dream, commiserate, learn, laugh, and make a plan to ORGANIZE to change the things that are holding us down!

We are so excited to see you there. If you’ve been feeling at all adrift while here, or like you aren’t sure how to connect the reasons you came to law school with the lived experience of being here, know that you are not alone. We are here, and we want to bond and build together for a better world with better lawyers.

Specific schedule forthcoming!

Co-sponsored by the National Lawyers Guild, Immigrant Justice Project, Trans@YLS, BLSA, LLSA, APALSA, FGP, Outlaws, YLW+, JLSA, WoCC, MLSA, DLSA, NALSA, SALSA, the Dred Scott Society, and the Law & Political Economy Student Group.
