Finding Law: Locating the Yale Law School in New Haven, 1824-2024
An exhibit in celebration of the Bicentennial anniversary of the Yale Law School
February 28 – April 7, 2024
The early history of the Yale Law School can be told through its locations in New Haven. For the first hundred years or so of its existence, the school and its library never strayed beyond the New Haven Green, within sight of the city’s courts and embedded in the law community of the New Haven Bar Association. Finding Law follows the law school and its library through its early locations, charting its audiences and aspirations from 1824 through 1931.
