Please join the Solomon Center for Health Law and Policy at Yale Law School for a discussion of issues related to medication abortion access in the wake of Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. This panel of FDA law experts will address a recent challenge to the FDA’s approval of mifepristone—one of two prescription drugs used for inducing medication abortions—and state-level restrictions on the drug that surpass those imposed by the federal agency. Panelists will also explore paths forward for preserving access to medication abortion, including preemption challenges based on the FDA’s regulatory authority.

  • Lewis Grossman – Professor of Law; Affiliate Professor of History, American University Washington College of Law

  • Katherine Kraschel – Clinical Lecturer in Law, Research Scholar in Law, and Senior Advisor of the Solomon Center for Health Law and Policy, Yale Law School.
