Gruber Distinguished Lecture in Women's Rights with Jessica Valenti

Ms. Jessica Valenti will be the Fall 2024 Gruber Distinguished Lecturer on Women’s Rights. Ms. Valenti is an American feminist writer. She currently runs the Abortion, Every Day newsletter on Substack, the only vehicle which gathers and analyzes abortion and abortion related developments across the United States. She started the newsletter in the wake of the Dobbs decision. In addition, Valenti was the co-founder of the blog Feministing, which she wrote for from 2004 to 2011. After graduating from college, Valenti worked for the NOW Legal Defense and Education Fund and for the Women's Environment & Development Organization. She wrote a blog for NARAL Pro-Choice America and also taught at Rutgers University from 2008 to 2010. Professor Reva Siegel will be her faculty host.

The lecture will be held on November 11, 2024, with follow-up activities on November 12. More details to come.
