Law, Language, and Power in the Southern Low Countries and Flanders (ca. 1500-1900)

Apr. 12, 2024
4:10PM - 5:10PM
SLB Room 128
Open to the Yale Community

An exhibition of Low Countries and Flemish pieces from the YLS Rare Books Collection. Two LL.M. students, Simon Devroe and Karel Brackeniers, will be putting these pieces into their historical context, focusing on the role of language and decentralization of power in the history of what is today Flanders and Belgium.

After this short contextualization in SLB 128 we will head down to the Rare Books Room (L2 in the Lillian Goldman Law Library) to see and browse through the selected pieces.
