The Legality of Executive Action in the New Trump Administration

Please join us for a rapid-reaction panel of Yale Law School faculty, who will discuss the legality of many of the executive actions by the new Trump Administration.  

Topics discussed will include foreign policy moves such as pulling out of WHO and declaring the US will take ownership of Gaza, the firing of executive officials, freezing of federal funds and grants, reduction of indirect costs to universities, deportation and birthright citizenship, the restriction of DEI programs, the censorship of publications mentioning banned concepts, and the accessing of sensitive data by DOGE. 

The panel will include Aslı Bâli ’99, Mark Barnes ’84, Claudia Flores, Oona Hathaway ’97, Robert Post ’77, Natasha Sarin, David Schulz ’78, Reva Siegel, and Michael Wishnie ’93. Moderated by Amy Kapczynski ’03.
