Description
In this closing exhibit event panel discussion relating to the Lillian Goldman Law Library’s current exhibition, Race, Slavery, & the Founders of Yale Law School, panelists will discuss the exhibit in the broader contexts of the university-wide Yale & Slavery Research Project and similar initiatives at other American law schools and educational institutions. Opening remarks will be made by Dean Heather Gerken. Panelists include Susan Gibbons (Vice Provost for Collections & Scholarly Communications), Michael Morand (Director of Community Engagement, Beinecke Library), and exhibition curators Kathryn James (Rare Book Librarian) and Fred Shapiro (Associate Director for Collections & Special Projects).
