Please join the Middle East Legal Studies Seminar Art & Literature series for a conversation between Adam HajYahia, a Palestinian researcher, writer, and art curator, and Laith Aqel, the Cover-Lowenstein Fellow at Yale Law School’s Schell Center. Adam’s research and writing focus on images and performativity in the revolutionary context of Palestine and the region. During this lecture, Adam will formulate an overview of Palestinian aesthetic revolutionary traditions. This overview will center on Palestinian modern society and the various decolonial movements and upheavals that sprung with the onset of the 20th century, both against British colonization and Zionism.
