She has been a Harvard Technology and Public Purpose fellow, and an MIT Knight Science Journalism fellow. She has lectured at MIT, Harvard, Columbia, Cornell, NYU, and Notre Dame. and her writing has appeared in Quartz, Mother Jones, The New Republic, and other outlets. She received a B.S. in mechanical engineering and minor in energy studies from MIT.
