Please join us for a very special, intimate conversation with Dr. Vivek H. Murthy, MD '03, SOM '03, the 19th and now 21st U.S. Surgeon General, under both President Obama and President Biden. As the Nation’s top doctor and Vice Admiral of the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps, Dr. Murthy commands a uniformed service of more than 6,000 dedicated public health officers, serving the most underserved communities. He is the first Surgeon General of Indian descent and, when appointed, was the youngest active duty flag officer in federal uniformed service. He has helped lead the national response to an extraordinary range of health challenges from Zika and Ebola, to substance-use disorder, mental health, workforce burnout, and COVID-19.

We invite you to join us for a conversation, including audience Q&A, on these and other pressing topics at the heart of health policy.

Moderated by Abbe R. Gluck '00, Alfred M. Rankin Professor of Law and Faculty Director of the Solomon Center for Health Law and Policy, Yale Law School; and Professor of Internal Medicine (General Medicine), Yale School of Medicine.
