Kevin Woodson(link is external)5 is a Professor of Law at the University of Richmond School of Law. His book, "The Black Ceiling: How Race Still Matters in the Elite Workplace" (U. Chicago Press, 2023), addresses challenges Black professionals experience in high-status employment settings. His current research projects address a variety of topics including Black prosecutors, law school affirmative action, homicide reduction as racial justice, and post-caste Black disadvantage. Woodson previously worked as a large law firm associate. He earned his Ph.D. in Sociology and Social Policy from Princeton University, his J.D. from Yale Law School, and his B.A. from Columbia University.
