Brown-Nagin ’97 Named Dean of Harvard's Radcliffe Institute for Advance Study

Tomiko Brown-Nagin '97 has been named dean of Harvard's Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study. A native of South Carolina, Brown-Nagin attended Furman University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in history, summa cum laude, in 1992. She received her J.D. from Yale Law School in 1997 and was editor of the Yale Law Journal. She earned a master’s degree and Ph.D. in history from Duke University in 1993 and 2002, respectively.

Brown-Nagin became professor of law at Harvard Law School and professor of history in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences in 2012.
