Johanna Spellman ’07 Promoted to Partner at Latham & Watkins

Latham & Watkins announced that Johanna Spellman ’07 has been promoted to partner, effective January 1, 2018. Spellman is a member of the Litigation & Trial Department in the firm's Chicago office who focuses her practice on environmental and class action disputes, including toxic torts, product liability, alleged violations of environmental law, putative class action claims, and other complex commercial matters. She has particular litigation and trial experience defending clients from the energy and sports sectors. Spellman received her JD from Yale Law School in 2007.

Before joining Latham, Spellman served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Richard D. Cudahy '55 of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.

While attending Yale Law School, Spellman was a member of the Yale Law Journal and an executive editor of the Yale Journal on Regulation.
