Kramer Levin Names Dani James ’95 Co-Chair of White Collar Defense Practice
New York, March 7, 2018 — Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP announced today that Dani R. James4 '95 has been selected as co-chair of the law firm’s industry-leading White Collar Defense and Investigations5 practice. Ms. James has distinguished herself as a leader of the white collar defense bar and joins Paul H. Schoeman as co-chair of the group.

Ms. James focuses her practice on a broad range of white collar criminal and regulatory matters. She represents executives, directors and officers, and other individuals, as well as companies, in sensitive, complicated and often high-profile criminal and regulatory cases involving accusations of insider trading, market manipulation, public corruption, bid-rigging, tax fraud and violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
Her co-chair, Paul H. Schoeman, said: “Dani is an outstanding lawyer and a terrific colleague. Prior to joining Kramer Levin in 2007, Ms. James was a federal prosecutor in the Southern District of New York and a visiting professor at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. An active member of the community, she serves on the board of directors of the FDNY Foundation as well on the advisory board of Legal Outreach.
Ms. James graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. from Columbia University and holds a J.D. from Yale Law School.
