The Chae Initiative in Private Sector Leadership is honored to welcome one of the most distinguished executive leaders from the Fortune 500 – Kenneth “Ken” Frazier, retired Executive Chairman and CEO of Merck. 

As part of the spring term’s “Leadership in Business Speaker Series,” Tom Glocer ’84 will moderate a conversation with Mr. Frazier, highlighting the many aspects of Mr. Frazier’s distinguished career, including topics such as: why he went to law school; the differences in leading a company as General Counsel versus CEO and how he made the transition; how a CEO thinks about balancing his personal political beliefs and engaging with government on behalf of his company - especially in a heavily regulated one like pharma; his views on acquiring and managing talent; his work supporting humanitarian efforts; and how he thinks of life and career post a big job. Welcome remarks will be given by Dean Heather Gerken.
