At Yale

Students, faculty, staff, and alumni have access to Yale’s world-class athletic facilities¹, including tennis courts, indoor swimming pools, ice skating rinks, and a modern gym. The Payne Whitney Gymnasium², located just one block from the Law School, is one of the most elaborate and extensive indoor athletic facilities in the world. During the academic year, the facility is free to Yale students. Yale also offers a year-round series of fitness and recreational programs for members of the Yale Community and their families.

In the Region

Bike the Farmington Canal Trail, hike Sleeping Giant State Park, bask at one of the many state beaches, or picnic on top of West Rock for a view of the entire city. All of these natural escapes are within a 5 to 30 minutes drive from campus:
