The YES Project works across contexts of critical intervention to support the mental health and wellbeing of LGBTQ+ youth. This includes work to scope existing research, define important gaps, and support future research and action related to the mental health of LGBTQ+ youth in the child welfare system; and efforts to center health justice, and the integration of legal and non-legal strategies, in action to end conversion therapy practices. YES Project team members also provide technical assistance in close collaboration with The Integrity Project at the Yale Law School to ensure that work to defend trans youth and gender affirming care, and defuse misinformation, is supported by rigorous analysis of the range of existing research.
