SELA is an annual gathering in the Southern Cone which brings together scholars from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Paraguay, Perú, Puerto Rico, Spain and the United States. A specific theme is determined for each Seminar. Papers are presented and subsequently analyzed in discussions among the participants. Following the Seminar the papers, along with pieces from the panel moderators, are published. SELA 2011 is co-sponsored with generous support from the Milton and Miriam Handler Foundation.
