October 21-23, 2016

More than 1100 alumni, students, and their guests gathered in New Haven for Alumni Weekend 2016. The weekend featured panels on hot topics in law: policing, climate change, national security, health policy and politics, and reproductive rights. The 2016 Award of Merit was presented to Edmund G. Brown Jr. '64, Governor of California, and to Gina Raimondo '98, Governor of Rhode Island, during Saturday's All Alumni Luncheon.

Professor Stith teaches and writes in the areas of criminal law and criminal procedure. Prior to joining the Yale Law School faculty, she was an Assistant District Attorney in SDNY, where she prosecuted white-collar and organized crime cases.

Tea with Professor Tracey Meares, Walton Hale Hamilton Professor of Law.

Professor Meares teaches and writes in the areas of criminal procedure and criminal law policy. She has worked extensively with the federal government, serving on the Committee on Law and Justice, and two National Research Council Review Committees, one to review research on police policy and practices, and another to review the National Institute of Justice. Professor Meares' work has helped to define the conversation on crime prevention and community capacity building.
