Debra Kroszner, Associate Dean and Chief of Staff

Debra Kroszner

Debra R. Kroszner serves as an Associate Dean and Chief of Staff at Yale Law School. In this role, she advises the Dean on a range of issues that are critical to the school’s mission, leads strategic communications, and spearheads interdepartmental initiatives. Kroszner also oversees the Office of Public Affairs and the Dean's Office. Kroszner came to Yale in 2012 and has served in various roles within the Office of Public Affairs, directing the school's communications operation, handling media relations, and creating engaging content to promote the work and scholarship of the Yale Law community. Over the course of her career, Kroszner has worked across the fields of higher education, nonprofit, and journalism. Prior to coming to Yale, she helped lead a comprehensive rebranding initiative at a national nonprofit serving children with serious illnesses. She began her career as a journalist covering the criminal justice and legal beats with an emphasis on investigative reporting. Kroszner graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Commonwealth Honors College with a major in communications and minor in political science.
