Our January OCI program provides employers the opportunity to interview first-year students for 1L and/or 2L summer positions. Refer to the January OCI site for more information.
Our September OCI program provides employers the opportunity to interview 2L and 3L students for summer and permanent positions. Refer to the September OCI site for more information.
Equal Justice Works Career Fair
YLS participates as a member-school in the annual Equal Justice Works Career Fair, which brings together public interest and government employers from across the nation. Approximately 150 public interest employers conduct prescheduled interviews with students from the nation’s law schools during this event that usually occurs in October. CDO subsidizes student registration fees for this event (please see the reimbursement form). The 2026 Fair will be held virtually.

Public Interest Legal Career Fair
YLS co-sponsors the New York Area Law Schools Public Interest Legal Career Fair, providing students the opportunity to interview with employers for internships and permanent jobs, as well as to talk with employers at information tables. In past years, representatives from more than 200 organizations have participated in this February Fair. CDO subsidizes student registration fees for this event. The 2027 Public Interest Legal Career Fair will be held virtually in February.

Overseas-Trained LL.M. Student Interview Program
YLS, in cooperation with the law schools at Columbia, Harvard, Stanford, University of Chicago, University of Michigan, and University of Virginia hosts an Annual Overseas-Trained LL.M. Student Interview Program. Employers from around the world interview students from the seven law schools for foreign associates and/or six to eighteen month internship positions. In the early fall, CDO hosts an information session for LL.M. students interested in this program.
