Hiroaki Okabe

Hiroaki Okabe Headshot

Hiroaki Okabe is a J.S.D. candidate at Yale Law School, where he obtained his LL.M. degree in 2026. Before coming to Yale Law School, he completed his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics and Computational Science at the University of Pennsylvania. Beginning in fall 2026, he is an Early Career Fellow at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

Hiroaki’s research examines the development of legal institutions from social scientific and historical perspectives. His academic interests also cover the intersection of law and technology.
