Santiago Carbajal is an Argentine J.S.D. candidate at Yale Law School, where he obtained his LL.M. degree in 2024. Prior to coming to YLS, he studied law at the University of Buenos Aires, where he worked on and taught Analytical Jurisprudence, Professional Responsibility, and Administrative Law. Santiago also served as a career law clerk in the Judiciary of the City of Buenos Aires and conducted research for CIPPEC, an NGO focused on designing and implementing public policies.
Santiago’s research interests lie within analytical and normative jurisprudence, moral philosophy, and administrative law. His doctoral research at YLS focuses on the nature of reasonableness as a standard of review of authoritative administrative decisions, and on the justifications and obligations of the authority.
