CT MOS Task Force

Through the passage of Special Act No. 13-5, the General Assembly created a Task Force to determine whether and how state licensing processes can be streamlined to better recognize prior military experience to aid Connecticut veterans as they transition from the military to the workforce.

In Autumn 2013 clinic students served on the Task Force staff, which analyzed present agency licensing practices and trends in the state labor market, conducted a national survey of military credentialing initiatives and produced detailed studies of the occupations most relevant to Connecticut veterans.

The Task Force’s research, findings, and recommendations were published on January 1, 2014 and can be found here.

In the 2014 legislative session, the Connecticut General Assembly enacted many of the Task Force recommendations into law. See An Act Concerning the Findings of the Military Occupational Specialty Task Force, Conn. Pub. Act. 14-131 (June 6, 2014)
